Et la participation de Jean-Claude Kuperminc<\/strong>, directeur de la biblioth\u00e8que et des archives de l’AIU, qui \u00e9voquera le Fonds Jacob Gordin de la Biblioth\u00e8que de l’Alliance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le philosophe letton Jacob Gordin (1896-1947), n\u00e9 non loin de Saint-P\u00e9tersbourg et ancien membre de l\u2019Acad\u00e9mie allemande pour la Science du Juda\u00efsme de Berlin, la c\u00e9l\u00e8bre Akademie f\u00fcr die Wissenschaft des Judentums, inspira profond\u00e9ment les intellectuels juifs de l\u2019apr\u00e8s-guerre en France o\u00f9 il s\u00e9journa \u00e0 partir de 1933. De l\u2019h\u00e9ritage mosa\u00efque relu dans un dialogue f\u00e9cond avec le savoir occidental, se dessine le l\u00e8gue de Jacob Gordin aux intellectuels juifs d\u2018expression fran\u00e7aise. En se consacrant \u00e0 la formation spirituelle de toute une g\u00e9n\u00e9ration de penseurs juifs \u00e9clair\u00e9s dont L\u00e9on Ask\u00e9nazi qui le consid\u00e9rait comme son ma\u00eetre, Andr\u00e9 Neher par l\u2019entremise de son \u00e9pouse Ren\u00e9e Neher- Bernheim, l\u2019embl\u00e9matique Emmanuel Levinas et tant d\u2019autres, la figure du philosophe devenu ex\u00e9g\u00e8te reste tut\u00e9laire, marquant ce courant orient\u00e9 vers une double fid\u00e9lit\u00e9 vou\u00e9e \u00e0 la fois au juda\u00efsme et \u00e0 la philosophie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
